GoldenEar SuperCenter Reference Center-Channel Speaker
Overview
The top of the SuperCenter lineup is the reference-performance SuperCenter Reference, the perfect match for large GoldenEar home theater systems. Only 35” wide, it includes four 5-1/4″ drivers utilizing the focused-field magnet structure developed for the Triton Reference, the GoldenEar One Reference High-Velocity Folded Ribbon AMT Tweeter, and three planar passive radiators. Our unique linear-phase crossover network employs a fully balanced topology which reduces stray capacitances for dramatically improved clarity. It utilizes precision film capacitors and special internal wiring to perfectly blend the drivers for a seamless homogeneous sound. There are three separate internal chambers: a larger one in the center which contains two 5-1/4˝ drivers which run up to meet the tweeter and are coupled to the larger, 7˝ x 10˝ passive radiator in the center, and two smaller ones which each contain a special 5-1/4˝ driver engineered for low frequency response, which runs up to 500 Hz, and is coupled to one of the smaller, 6-3/4˝ x 8˝ passives

GoldenEar Invisa HTR 7000 Architectural Ceiling Speaker
Overview
The Invisa Home Theater Reference 7000 is designed for use as a ceiling-mounted main front stage left, right, or center speaker in high-quality home theater or music systems, as well as for use as a side or rear surround speaker. In many installations it is also perfect as a height channel speaker. It has a flat, round, magnetically attached micro-perf grille that covers the mounting flange for an attractive, nearly “invisible” look. The drivers are mounted at precisely calculated angles so that they face the normal listening position for exceptional imaging, superior frequency response, remarkable clarity and precise focus. The driver complement combines the same superb 7″ high-definition cast-basket driver used in the acclaimed Aon 3, with one of GoldenEar’s signature technology HVFR™ tweeters. A complex crossover network, with a high-frequency equalization switch, assures perfect blending. In order to achieve open, boxless, three-dimensional imaging that appears to come from across the front wall rather than the ceiling, great care has been taken to minimize deleterious diffraction effects as well as to optimize wave-launch into the room. This is achieved by utilizing and combining our FocusField™ Technology with a unique Non-Periodic Waveform (NPW) Diffraction Control and Wave-Launch construction.

High-Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR™) Tweeter
GoldenEar’s signature HVFR™ tweeter redefines high-frequency reproduction. Unlike traditional dome tweeters, the folded ribbon design dramatically increases the radiating surface area while maintaining ultra-low mass. This results in lightning-fast transient response, exceptional detail retrieval, and a broad, natural dispersion pattern that fills the room with smooth, airy highs — never harsh or fatiguing.
Quadratic Planar Low-Frequency Drivers & Passive Radiators
The T44 integrates a single long-throw quadratic planar low-frequency driver and dual passive radiators. This proprietary driver moves large volumes of air with precision and minimal distortion, producing deep, controlled bass that rivals standalone subwoofers. The passive radiators enhance efficiency and transient response, allowing the T44 to deliver rich, taut low frequencies even at modest volumes.
Hybrid Performance, The GoldenEar Way
The T66 and T44 aren’t just loudspeakers — they’re full-range, high-performance systems built around a hybrid design philosophy. By incorporating a powered bass section within each speaker, GoldenEar delivers deep, authoritative low-frequency response without burdening your amplifier.
This design takes a significant load off your electronics, allowing the midrange and high frequencies to shine with greater clarity and control. And because the bass section is self-powered, the T Series is far less demanding on your system — making them a perfect match even for lower-powered components, including tube amplifiers and compact integrated amps.
Proprietary Acoustic Technology
Engineered for Excellence
At the heart of the GoldenEar T44’s remarkable performance lies a suite of proprietary acoustic technologies, meticulously engineered to deliver unparalleled clarity, depth, and realism.
This proprietary acoustic engineering approach makes the GoldenEar T44 a standout in its class – a loudspeaker that packs flagship-level innovation and sonic purity into a size that fits beautifully into your lifestyle.
High-Definition Cast-Basket MVPP™ Upper-Bass/Mid-Driver
Purpose-built for the GoldenEar T-Series, this precisionengineered 4.5” driver combines a rigid cast basket with our proprietary Multi-Vaned Phase Plug™ (MVPP) design to deliver exceptional clarity, speed, and control. Tuned specifically for upper-bass and midrange performance, it ensures seamless integration with the T44’s folded ribbon tweeter and bass drivers—resulting in a balanced, dynamic, and emotionally engaging listening experience.
56-Bit DSP-Controlled Amplification
To maximize performance and system integration, the builtin amplifier powering the long-throw quadratic planar lowfrequency driver employs advanced digital signal processing (DSP). This ensures optimal driver protection, dynamic range, and frequency response shaping. The result is tight, musical bass that seamlessly blends with the midrange and highs — delivering a cohesive, full-spectrum soundstage.
THE GOLDENEAR ADVANTAGE
Making Room for More Possibilities
GoldenEar’s holistic approach to loudspeaker design ensures that every element — from crossover voicing and driver alignment to cabinet geometry and internal damping — works in concert to recreate the full emotional and spatial impact of music and film. This obsession with balance and integration is what gives GoldenEar loudspeakers their signature sense of realism and immersion. The T44 carries that legacy forward in a form factor tailored for today’s living spaces. Every component has been carefully engineered to preserve the expansive dynamics, deep bass, and finely layered detail of our larger models — all within a cabinet that fits effortlessly into more compact environments. It’s proof that when design and engineering are in perfect sync, smaller can still sound spectacular. Downsizing, in this case, is simply making room for more possibilities.

THE PROFESSOR’S RZ50 REVIEW
The Onkyo TX-RZ50 is an AV Receiver that visually conveys a bold stance with its brushed aluminum face and tactical-like information display window.
Let’s take a look at it from an alternate angle…from the inside…out...
The stalwart stance of the RZ50 shields over 6000 parts…from circuit boards to audio converters, to professional level video processors…the cliché “More than meets the eye” is an understatement here. What are all these parts doing?
Have you heard of Apple TV? Fire TV? Roku? PlayStation? XBOX? How about a good old fashioned cable TV box or DVD/Blu-ray disc player? I’ll bet your TV has apps too…
Why are there so many options to watch, listen and interact with media? Well, it’s because there’s more media available today than ever before. We are fortunate to be able to explore millions of streams of audio, video, games, without ever having to leave our sofa, but…when does this become unmanageable?
Enter the AVR. An Audio/Video Receiver (AVR), receives audio and video signals from such devices, and seamlessly switches between them, decoding (translating) this content, then sending the video signal to the TV and the audio signal to the speakers.
How does the RZ50 excel at these processes? It would take our 60+ person Engineering team in Osaka, Japan to try to explain how this works technically, but let’s break it down into things you should know while shopping for an AVR:
AUDIO — HOW IT DEALS WITH SOUND
Imagine being able to interpret 100s of languages. The RZ50 is capable of decoding audio signals starting with a vintage analog turntable all the way to today’s immersive multi-channel lossless formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. It can capture these audio signals via multiple connections including HDMI, and even from your TV via eARC. As a bonus, the RZ50 includes built-in streaming apps like Pandora and is Works with Sonos certified. It then steers these signals toward up to 9 speaker locations around your listening space, enveloping you in the world you selected to experience, such as a raptor chase in Jurassic World, or a symphony at the Sydney Opera House. It drives most speakers effortlessly with an amplifier rating of 120 WPC.* (2ch driven).
Is your room a movie theater? Probably not…most rooms are not ideal for sound reproduction. What if your speakers don’t sound as good as you expected? Onkyo has you covered with Dirac Room Correction technology. Without getting too technical, room correction, in general, listens to how your system is performing, then uses advanced computing to positively alter the signal to better fit your space. It’s practically magic for your ears! The RZ50 comes out of the box equipped with Dirac Live software built-in, no need for upgrades, unless you’d like to fine tune your bass further with Dirac Live Bass Control (available as a paid option).
VIDEO — HOW IT DEALS WITH IMAGES
Isn’t it awesome when you fire up your big screen flat panel? The image draws your eyes into a world rich with new possibilities. Today’s TVs have the ability to display super high-resolution images and frame rates which are important for sports and gaming, in particular. The RZ50 can guide these advanced video signals to your TV with no loss in resolution or motion. In fact, the RZ50 was the world’ first AVR to pass full gaming specs such as 4k/120.
Bringing an entertainment machine like this to market took a 60+ person team of PAC engineers, mostly based in Osaka Japan, to unravel the needs of the person who will ultimately enjoy it. This team consists of mechanical engineers, software engineers, electrical engineers...all working toward one goal...to deliver the best possible music, movie, and gaming experience in its category.
The Onkyo TX-RZ50 is an AV Receiver that redefined what is possible in its class. It’s nestled in between the TX-RZ30 which offers slightly less power, and the beastly TX-RZ70 which is the current flagship AVR in Onkyo’s lineup.
Which one is right for you?
— The Professor, Rob Vieira
