David Pohl is an award winning illustrator and founder of House of Pingting, an independent creative studio working with magazine and book publishers, institutions, design firms, and ad agencies since 1991. He was born in Pittsburgh, graduated from North Hills High School and earned a BFA from The Cleveland Institute of Art.

His illustrations have been commissioned by a wide range of clients including The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, Phipps Conservatory, Simon and Schuster, Tower Records, and The Humane Society of the United States.

He has exhibited his work at The Society of Illustrators Museum, The Art Directors Club of New York, August Wilson House, The Mattress Factory Museum of Contemporary Art, The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Heinz History Center, and New York Public Library.
