One of the biggest video game releases in years is almost here, and we’re celebrating Grand Theft Auto VI with a little help from our friends upstairs at Northern Audio.
Join us at Music To My Ear on Friday, November 20 for an all-day GTA VI event featuring the game’s soundtrack on vinyl downstairs at Music To My Ear and a chance to actually play GTA VI on Northern Audio’s massive Dolby Atmos home theater upstairs.
GTA VI on Vinyl
Naturally, we’re starting with the music.
Music To My Ear will have plenty of copies of the Grand Theft Auto VI soundtrack available on vinyl, including:
Black vinyl, pink vinyl and blue vinyl editions, with each version including a poster.
If GTA VI ends up consuming a significant portion of your weekend — and we suspect it might — you’ll be able to take some of its music home with you, too.
Then Head Upstairs and Play
This is where things get a little unusual for a record store event.
Head upstairs to Northern Audio and you’ll be able to experience GTA VI on a 163-inch Screen Innovations screen with a 4K laser projector, 120 fps capability and full Dolby Atmos surround sound.
Add serious amplification, three front subwoofers and ButtKickers in the theater seats, and you’ve got a gaming setup that’s considerably different from sitting in front of the average television.
If you’ve ever wondered what a modern video game can sound and feel like through a genuine high-performance home theater, November 20 is your opportunity to find out.
Make a Day of It
That’s really the idea behind this event.
Stop in. Browse the records. Pick up the GTA VI soundtrack. Head upstairs. Sit down in the theater and play GTA VI on a system designed to deliver huge pictures, immersive sound and room-shaking bass. Then take your new record home and spend the rest of the weekend playing the game.
Sounds like a pretty good Friday to us!
