November and December are shaping up to be busy at Music To My Ear and Northern Audio.
We’ve lined up six consecutive Friday events at 3003 Babcock Blvd., including reel-to-reel listening parties, our Grand Theft Auto VI Open House, RSD Black Friday, HQPlayer Day and an Analog Workshop Day.
Some are happening downstairs at Music To My Ear, some upstairs at Northern Audio, and some involve both floors.
Here’s the schedule.
November 6 — Bob Marley “Exodus” Reel-to-Reel Listening Party
Friday | 5:00–7:00 PM | Northern Audio
Head upstairs to Northern Audio for a Friday evening built around Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Exodus, played from reel-to-reel on a high-end audio system.
It’s a chance to sit down, listen and experience a classic recording in a very different way.
November 13 — Fleetwood Mac “Fleetwood Mac” Reel-to-Reel Listening Party
Friday | 5:00–7:00 PM | Northern Audio
One week later, the reel-to-reel machine comes out again for Fleetwood Mac’s self-titled album.
Come upstairs to Northern Audio, settle in and hear one of the defining albums of the 1970s through a format and system designed to let the recording speak for itself.
November 20 — Grand Theft Auto VI Open House
Friday | 10:00 AM–7:00 PM | Both Floors
This should be a fun one.
Music To My Ear will have the available Grand Theft Auto VI vinyl editions downstairs, while Northern Audio turns its home theater loose upstairs.
You’ll be able to play GTA VI on a 163-inch screen with a full Dolby Atmos home theater system.
Stop in anytime during the day and experience both sides of the event.
November 27 — RSD Black Friday 2026
Friday | 8:00 AM–7:00 PM | Both Floors
Black Friday means Record Store Day at Music To My Ear.
We’ll open at 8:00 AM for RSD Black Friday 2026 and its lineup of special releases. Northern Audio will be part of the day upstairs as well.
If records are part of your Black Friday tradition, you know where to find us.
December 4 — HQPlayer Day
Friday | 10:00 AM–7:00 PM | Music To My Ear
We’ll turn our attention to digital audio on December 4 with HQPlayer Day.
Come in and learn more about HQPlayer, hear what it can do within a high-quality playback system and spend some time exploring a different side of serious digital listening.
December 11 — Analog Workshop Day
Friday | 10:00 AM–7:00 PM | Music To My Ear
Then we go back to analog.
Analog Workshop Day will focus on turntables, cartridges, setup and getting the most out of vinyl playback.
Whether you already have a serious analog setup or you’re just starting to figure out what all those adjustments actually do, come by and join us.
